Temple Hill Academy - Facing Differences While #DoingItWithLove !
Ms. Jordan and Ms. Romanino's class studied a science unit on water conservation and sustainability. While studying many areas of our world that do not have access to clean water, the students were wondering how they could make a difference for people who were facing a water crisis.
Temple Hill Academy partnered with the Bezos Family Foundation, through Students Rebuild, which is "a collaborative program that inspires young people worldwide to connect, learn and take action on critical global issues." Students took the Facing Difference Challenge, to celebrate our unique differences while taking action to support understanding, empathy, and peace globally.
Ms. Jordan and Ms. Romanino and their students partnered with Ms. Bleadow in Art class to create self-portraits that represent their identity while celebrating their unique and special differences. For each portrait submitted, the Bezos Family Foundation will donate $3 to support these areas of our world who are facing global issues, such as a water crisis.
