Excelsior Academy Scholars Launch Partnership with Scenic Hudson and Crystal Lake

As the kickoff of a four-year partnership between Excelsior Academy at Newburgh Free Academy, North Campus and Scenic Hudson, ninth graders spent the day at Crystal Lake in Newburgh. Alongside staff from Scenic Hudson, students caught and identified macro-invertebrates, tested the water quality of the lake, went on a nature walk and completed a service project on site.
