Eight Scholars from the Newburgh Free Academy Varsity Football Team Sign to Play in College
Eight scholars from the Newburgh Free Academy Varsity football team sign to play football in college. Players were joined by various friends and family members to celebrate the occasion. Co-principals Mr. Raul Rodriguez and Mr. Matteo Doddo, along with Head Football Coach, Bill Bianco organized the event.
Vernon Smith, #5, cornerback and wide receiver will be playing for SUNY Brockport and plans to study exercise science.
Wayne Murray, #8, tight end and defensive line, will be attending Morrisville State College and plans to study computer science.
Pete Matthews, #11, kicker and punter, will be attending Robert Morris University and plans to study communications.
Sam Nicholas, #7, defensive end and full back, will be attending Alfred State University and plans to study criminal justice.
Jadon Munroe, #21, running back and corner back, will be attending Milford Academy.
Tyler Santiago, #9, defensive back and wide receiver, will be attending Western Connecticut State University and plans to study biology.
Uh’chiaron Hanson, #1, wide receiver and corner back, will be attending Monroe College and plans to study business.
