NFA West Scholar Interns with Vails Gate STEAM Academy Kindergarten Class!

Newburgh Free Academy, West campus scholar, Elijah Dixon completed his internship with Mrs. Pearce’s Vails Gate STEAM Academy Kindergarten Class! As part of his internship, Mr. Dixon observed and learned about the inner workings of a classroom setting for a few hours each week.

As part of a thank you celebration, Mr. Dixon performed an original spoken-word song for his students. Mr. Dixon was accompanied by his teacher, Mr. Joe Tricarico.

As a special treat, Mr. Dixon hand drew a popular character with the children and made copies for the younger scholars to color.

95% of Newburgh Free Academy, West campus scholars completed an internship this year.
