Muffins for Mom- October
This event was to reach out to the parents and caregivers of students K -5.  Parents were invited in to listen to keynote speaker Sara Feliz as she spoke about the importance of literacy, not only at school, but at home as well.  After gaining knowledge on literacy and attendance our scholars then joined their parents/caregivers to enjoy a muffin and watch a small presentation on how to log onto the district launchpad for online learning from home.

Literacy Night
During this after school hours event parents and students came in to listen to a story read by the principal, Dr. Buon.  Parents and students then visited several stations throughout the gymnasium and played literacy based games addressing phonics, comprehension, and word building. There were many items given to the families to take home. Students also received a book to encourage shared reading at home.
