Two Additional NECSD Teachers Earn National Board Certified Teacher Status

Board Certified

Teachers Ms. Lisa Ward from Fostertown School and Ms. Linda Vinti from NFA Main Campus were recognized for their hard work, persistence and dedication to the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards process.

The two teachers recently achieved National Board Certified Teacher status and they join a distinguished group of teachers. Only 3% of all teachers in the United States achieve National Board Certification. To date, 24 of our NECSD teachers have achieved this significant certification and 12 teachers are currently working to achieve this status. The recognition took place at a Board of Education meeting

For over a decade, Newburgh Enlarged City School District, the Newburgh Teachers’ Association and the Newburgh Teacher Center have collaborated and been committed to supporting all of our NECSD approved candidates.

On hand to recognize the achievements of these teachers was Mr. Nick Karnavezos, Coordinator for the Newburgh Teacher Center, Ms. Stacy Moran, President for the Newburgh Teachers’ Association, Ms. Kathleen Young who presented Ms. Linda Vinti with her recognition and Ms. Ellen Hart who presented Ms. Lisa Ward with her recognition. Each honoree took a photo with Board of Education President Ms. Carole Mineo and Superintendent Dr. Roberto Padilla.

Congratulations to Ms. Ward and Ms.Vinti!
