Virtual High Honors Recognition June 2020
Newburgh Free Academy will release a virtual recognition highlighting scholars who achieved high honors as a result of their high school career. Students who receive the recognition of High Honors are scholars who earned a grade point average above a 89.5. We have more than 150 scholars in this category, which is more than 20% of our typical graduating class. Congratulations to our scholars!

Scholarship Night June 18th
Newburgh Free Academy will host a virtual recognition of their annual Scholarship Night. Nearly 100 scholarships, totaling more than $125,000 will be given out at the event!

Cap & Gown pick-up Pick up of caps and gowns will be coordinated with the high schools. More information will be provided when it becomes available.

Virtual Class of 2020 Recognition
We plan to share a virtual Class of 2020 recognition on the originally scheduled date of graduation, Thursday June 25th. This will not take the place of a graduation ceremony, but will celebrate our scholars under our current guidelines. Future plans for a graduation ceremony will be forthcoming as we receive guidance from the state.

Graduation Celebration TBD
We are looking at the prospect of holding a celebration on Academy Field. We know that crossing the stage on Academy Field is a long-standing transition that connects our current students to our proud alumni. We are working as diligently as we can to create a safe and celebratory experience for our seniors and their families to experience this pivotal moment. More details will become available when we receive guidance from the state.
