The annual Block N dinner was held recently in celebration and recognition of all graduating athletes. Goldback and Sportsmanship awards were given out for each team as well as special awards and scholarships.

Newburgh Free Academy hosted their annual Scholarship Night earlier this monht. Nearly 100 scholarships, totaling more than $125,000 were given out at the event! Thank you to our scholarship sponsors!

Newburgh Free Academy Celebrates High Honors Scholars
Students who receive the recognition High Honors are scholars who earned a grade point average above a 89.5. We have more than 150 scholars in this category, which is more than 20% of our graduating class.

Certified Nurse Aide Scholars Participate in Traditional Pin Ceremony
More than 43 scholars from the Health Science Career Education Pathway celebrated their accomplishment with a traditional pinning ceremony. Pins were presented to candidates for completion of requirements for: NYS Certified Nursing Assistant.

NFA JROTC Experience Once in a Lifetime Flight Opportunity
NFA NY-095 AFJROTC got to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity. The students experienced a flight on a C-17 Globalmaster III with an in-flight refueling demonstration. The cadets got to rotate up to the cockpit and view the KC-135 refueling.

NFA Seniors Awarded St. Luke's Cornwall Auxiliary Scholarship
NFA Seniors Ariana Woodruff and Nina Zylberberg were awarded St. Luke’s Cornwall Auxiliary Scholarships. The St. Luke’s Cornwall Health System Foundation (SLCHSF) awarded three annual scholarships to local, graduating high school seniors.

Students from the Empire State After School program at Newburgh Free Academy North Campus created a garden during their time together. Students and teachers carried several tons of dirt to fill the beds that they made.
