Newburgh Free Academy’s 17th Annual Empty Bowls Event Raises $5,400 for Food Bank
Newburgh Free Academy hosted their 17th annual Empty Bowls event in April. Empty Bowls is a national network of volunteer efforts to provide hunger relief. The event welcomed nearly 200 people and raised $5,400 for the local food bank.

11th grade advisory students at NFA West worked in small groups on post high school and graduation planning. The students participated in a "My Ideal College and Career Expo" where they presented their ideal college.

Scholars from NFA Spanish class, taught by Ms. Pilar Treus skyped with peers from Spain. This project takes being "pen pals" to a new level. Students began by emailing with a fellow student from the clas in Spain.
